Job Description

IOS Partners is currently looking for a Business Development Liaison based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to identify new project opportunities and expand the company’s portfolio of work with the US Government agencies for foreign assistance, including USAID, MCC, USTDA, Department of State, USDA, and others. The Lead Business Development Liaison will report directly to the Vice President for Business Development.

Main duties:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a business development strategy with growth targets for the company’s US Government Practice.
  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Leverage existing client and prime firm relationships and foster new partnerships with clients, partners and consultants.
  • Represent the firm with existing and potential new clients, partners, organizations and at industry events.
  • Conduct due diligence, scope analysis, and competitive landscape investigation.
  • Lead the preparation of competitive proposals for consulting services, including outreach to experts and partners as well as the development of methodologies, work schedules, and budgets.
  • Contribute to the company’s marketing and communications agenda as related to USG work.
  • Manage and participate in the implementation of US Government sector projects in accordance with the company’s needs.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in International Relations, Political Science, International Business, Economics, Trade,  or related fields.
  • Minimum experience of 5+ years in a similar position.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading successful proposals in the US Government segment.
  • Access to a network of USG clients, partners and experts.
  • Ability to prepare and manage proposals and presentations.
  • Excellent command of English and preferably other relevant languages (Spanish, French, etc.)
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment under strict deadlines.
  • Ability to manage workload, multi-task, and prioritize effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive.
  • Global outlook, affinity for travel, and multicultural skills.
  • Team spirit.
