IOS Partners is looking for motivated, energetic and diligent interns with strong research, writing and communication skills to work alongside our Business Development and Project Management teams on international development projects. We offer the opportunity to learn about global development challenges in a dynamic international environment in our offices in the United States (Coral Gables), Latin America (Costa Rica and Mexico), Africa (Madagascar), or Eastern Europe (Republic of Georgia).

We deliver market-driven solutions to donor agencies, private sector clients and government institutions in economic and private sector development, agriculture, trade and investment promotion, aviation, tourism, energy, finance, social inclusion, information technology, and monitoring and evaluation services. The list of our Clients includes the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the African-Development Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, USAID, Millennium Challenge Cooperation, USTDA, ECOWAS, OECS, and other multilateral, bilateral and host government agencies.
Main duties:
- Assist with the preparation of persuasive, responsive and visually appealing Expressions of Interest and Proposals for international development consulting projects
- Conduct relevant research and due diligence on international development projects across sectors and donors
- Manage correspondence and other communication with consultants and partners
- Document editing and formatting
- Assist with general administrative tasks
- Contribute to other business development and project management activities as assigned
Requirements:
- Excellent command of English (both written and spoken)
- Proficiency in French, Portuguese and/or Spanish (both written and spoken)
- University degree or close-to-completion studies in International Relations, Political Science, International Business, Economics, or related subjects
- Academic level writing and research skills
- High computer literacy (MS Office)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment under deadline pressures
- Ability to manage own workload independently, multi-task and prioritize effectively
- Detail oriented and proactive
- Global outlook and multicultural skills
- Team spirit
