Crossover CSE Nantahala National Forest Robbinsville
Our team provided technical services to support the sustainable use of the forest’s natural resources. In order to accomplish our mission the primary services consisted of stand level plot inventory/growth data collection through fixed and variable radius plot based inventory. Our project was located in an important watershed that supports the towns of Robbinsville and Andrews and is located along the former Cherokee “Trail of Tears” on Tatham Gap Rd.
The data we gathered will be used to help plan for a landscape level habitat and vegetation management/restoration project that is in accordance with the current Nantahala and Pisgah Land and Resource Management Plan.
West Virginia
Monongahela National Forest
The Monongahela National Forest, in the north-central highlands of West Virginia was established in 1920 and encompasses one of the most ecologically diverse areas in the United States, with elevations from just under 1,000 feet to 4,863 feet above sea level. The Monongahela is a ‘working’ forest, which provides timber, water, grazing, minerals and recreational opportunities.Our team provided technical services to support the sustainable use of the forest’s natural resources. In order to accomplish our mission the primary services consisted of stand level plot inventory/growth data collection. The data will help to characterize current forest conditions on the Monongahela NF.

Olympic National Forest CSE Quilcene
Our team provided technical services to support the sustainable use of the forest’s natural resources. In order to accomplish our mission the primary services consisted of stand level plot inventory/growth data collection through fixed and variable radius plot based inventory. In addition we conducted fuels transects and collected shrub/herbaceous layer data to help characterize the current forest conditions.
South Carolina
Lake Jocasee CSE Sumter National Forest Mountain Rest
Our team provided technical services to support the sustainable use of the forest’s natural resources. In order to accomplish our mission the primary services consisted of stand level plot inventory/growth data collection through fixed and variable radius plot based inventory. The data we collected helped to identify timber harvesting units in accordance with the current Andrew Pickens Ranger District Forest Management Plan.

George Washington and Jefferson National Forest Cripple Creek
Our team provided technical services to support the sustainable use of the forest’s natural resources. In order to accomplish our mission the primary services consisted of stand level plot inventory/growth data collection through fixed and variable radius plot based inventory. The data collected will help with proposed activities such as: commercial timber harvesting, timber stand improvement, prescribed burning, addressing unauthorized vehicle and trail access and wildlife habitat improvement that is in accordance with the current George Washington and Jefferson Land and Resource Management Plan.
Asheville
Pisgah National Forest Appalachian Ranger District
Our team provided technical services to support the sustainable use of the forest’s natural resources. In order to accomplish our mission the primary services consisted of stand level plot inventory/growth data collection through fixed and variable radius plot based inventory. Our project was located on the western border of North Carolina and Tennessee and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The reintroduction of elk into the GSM National Park has subsequently led to increased herd numbers and encroachment on private lands disrupting private landowner relationships and grazing habitats.
