In July 2021, IOS Partners, Inc. was contracted by the Government of Tuvalu, represented by Ministry of Transport, Energy and Tourism (MTET), to provide economic and aviation financial expertise and inputs to support the consideration of a new proposed airfield at Funafuti International Airport.
IOS Partners has been tasked with providing economic and aviation financial expertise and inputs contributing to an Options Paper to support the consideration of a new proposed airfield at Funafuti by Government of Tuvalu. This included preparing 25-year traffic forecasts, financial model, and economic impact analysis.
Following the presentation of the Options Paper in February 2022, additional information became available to the IOS’ team. As a result, MTET has asked IOS Partners to revise the Financial and Economic Analysis prepared for the Options Paper, including a much more detailed assessment of domestic transportation options, and providing new conclusions and recommendations.
