The objective of the consultancy service is to develop and structure bankable transactions in the three identified value chains (live sheep and cattle, red meat, and hides/skin/leather) that could be successfully offered by the relevant GoS Agencies to private investors for financing, construction, operation and maintenance using PPP contracts. IOS Partners assists the LMRP in conducting pre-feasibility and technical and financial feasibility studies for the projects, and helps the public entities conduct a competitive tender process for the selection of the private investors.

Development of the Georgian National Wine Strategy and Action Plan

Development of the Georgian National Wine Strategy and Action Plan

Assessed wine legislation, trade regulations, as well as bi-lateral and multi-lateral trade agreements; conducted a systematic review of the wine industry and identified firm-level constraints to growth; designed a long-term strategy for the Georgian government to support the expansion of the sector; developed action plans and a detailed roadmap encompassing the entire wine industry to facilitate the strategy’s implementation; and, recommended a set of legislative and policy changes to enhance the sector’s competitiveness

The Institute Agronomique et Veterinaire (IAV) is highly satisfied with its collaboration with IOS Partners in date, palm and fisheries projects financed by USTDA for the Government of Morocco. Abelardo is an agricultural trade and program evaluation specialist with advanced qualifications and over 30 years of international experience including periods in executive positions and as Team Leader, Consultant and Advisor to Governments, bilateral and multilateral development agencies including GIZ, European Commission, UN, USAID, and the World Bank. He has extensive geographic experience in over 24 countries and thematic experience in multi-year, multi-million-dollar program design, management and M&E with expertise in agricultural production and marketing, export promotion and rural financing, trade, climate change and food security and governance of biodiversity management.
